This has been fixed in version 1.4.0 of the Gift Aid Add-on. Update to that, and you should be all set!

It would be great is this could be resolved as I can't see a reason why this should be an issue if it works perfectly in the legacy version. With the large majority of users accessing our donation page via mobile, we're missing an enormous amount of gift aid sign up opportunities, which in affect means the Gift Aid extension is only functional a fraction of the time it should be. Could somebody please update us on this!

Would love to get this resolved. Apple / Google Pay are our most used way to donate but we are missing out or are having to contact the donor to get gift aid approval.

Just to flag that this is still an issue. Switching away from the multi-step form to a legacy form is not a practical option for some users, as the ease of the multi-step setup was a selling point of Give to begin with.
