Plain permalinks break Multi-Step and Classic templates

The workaround for this issue is to switch to any other structure at Settings > Permalinks within the main WordPress settings. Our team will have a look here, and in the meantime we recommend not using plain permalinks. Here's why:
Plain permalinks (like example.com/?p=1234 ) are relatively unsightly. Best practices for permalinks are to use other structures, which give websites a much more polished presentation, and in this case it has the added benefit of resolving this issue.
