The {name} tag should output first and last name, regardless of title.

On the fourth step of the multistep template, as well as email tags, I want to display the name of the donor in the thank you message. However, if I use the {name} tag and the donation includes a Title (Mr, Mrs, etc) the first name is omitted and the title and last name are output. I'd expect it to output the first and last name, not the title.

The current behavior for the {name} tag is expected, and some folks use it that way, so the workaround would be to use either the {fullname} tag or a meta tag like this one: {meta_donor__give_donor_first_name} {meta_donor__give_donor_last_name}.
You can read more about meta email tags here: https://givewp.com/documentation/core/settings/emails/meta-email-tags/

Hi Ben, I just want to clarify I would also like the option to use {first name} so that only the first name is used. We feel that title and last name, or first name and last name tags are too formal for our charity.

Our team will definitely have a look at this. Issues like this that are not preventing donations or have a simple workaround are generally prioritized at the end of an 8 week development cycle, and then tested and released. That means it can be up to 10 weeks for issues like this to be resolved.
Thanks!
