Unknown email should not prompt a "too many Access email requests" error

Currently if you put an unknown email address into the email access form on the donor Dashboard, instead of returning an error like "unknown email address" it returns an error that says "too many access email requests, please wait 5 minutes..."

This error needs to be more accurate.

This has been resolved in GiveWP version 2.15.0! Please update to that version, and let us know if you have further issues.

No matter what we try, whenever someone tries to submit their email for our donor dashboard, it shows "too many email access email requests" and doesn't do anything else. See image for example

What is the workaround that you mention for this? We need to get this functionality up ASAP so that our donors can access their accounts

Oliver Berning: the issue only shows for emails that are not actually in use as donor emails. So the workaround is to use an email that's actually currently attached to a donor in the system.

Our team is taking a look at this.

Issues like this that are not preventing donations or have a simple workaround are generally prioritized at the end of an 8 week development cycle, and then tested and released. That means it can be up to 10 weeks for issues like this to be resolved.
