Ability to log into the campaign page when a donor already has an account

As a recurring donor, I already have an account on the website. However, when I try to join a team, it asks me to register again, and I can't use the same email. Instead, I need to go to a page, log in, then get back to the campaign page.
It would be much easier if I could log in directly on the campaign page.

This has been resolved in version 1.4.0 of the Peer-to-Peer addon. There's also some other amazing stuff in that release. Update to that and let us know if you have any issues!

Below is an excerpt from my email to Rick Alday about the challenge from my perspective:
I think the main issue is that you and I understand the difference between setting up a user account for membership on our site and registering for a P2P campaign, but I do not think the majority of our users will understand this difference. So here's what happens when a person who is already a member on our site tries to register for a fundraising campaign …
(1) They click start fundraising and then they are asked whether they want to Join a team, Join as an Individual, or Create at team. Let's say they select Join as an Individual. They will input their information and they will get the error message "A user with that email address already exists.

Hopefully they will realize that they need to use their user account info for our site, and then they will most likely return to the start fundraising page as seen in the screenshot below.

They will click Sign in, and enter their login information for our site, but then they will get the error message "Your fundraiser account is not registered on this campaign."

At this point, what they need to do is login via our main site login page and then go back and try to register again, but they're not going to know that. From their perspective, they were told they can't register because the email already exists, but then when they sign in using that same email they are told that they don't have an account. From the user's perspective, this is directly contradictory information.
So all that to say, this new feature will be a really big help!! Until this is resolved, I think I'm going to just create a separate landing page for the campaign and provide more explicit instructions for existing member of how they can register.

Thanks for submitting this feature request Rachael. We're also running into this issue, and it makes it almost impossible for users who already have accounts on our site to register for a P2P campaign by themselves. Really hoping this new feature is added soon!

Yes, this would be amazing. So much easier for our already huge donor base, to be able to create their own fundraising page.
