Use GiveWP for Online Auctions

I agree with keeping the same look and feel. I am already running two different online auctions and the money flows through WooCommerce. I'd prefer to have them run through GWP to be able to better track and keep all donations in one place. I don't want to go elsewhere for a broader solution. thanks, Alan

I would second that this would be an amazing feature. However, it would be a big build. We've used Handbid, Qtego, and Wedo. You could look at their feature lists to see the need. I will say, all of those platforms lack in UI and UX. That's what would excite me most is that GiveWP usually does a great job at UI and UX. Building it on top of WP and keeping it on site would just be icing on the cake.

We do have a blog post with suggestions for how to use GiveWP for an auction here: https://givewp.com/online-charity-auction-raffle/

Amanda Gorman: That is not really an auction, as you have to pay on all bids, even if you do not win.
GiveWP creating a first class auction system would be fantastic; or even just partnering with another WP plugin auction system to tie them together.

Online auctions are the trending way that non-profits are raising money. Your competition is making it easy to switch over by building this capability ahead of you. Our non-profit would likely see a huge increase in donations if we were able to have the capability to auction off pictures drawn by children who attend our camps, or other donated items that people could share online to their networks. Even those who would not normally connect with our cause could potentially bid for an item that holds meaning for them. Large untapped resource here and the blog post you shared above is NOT a viable solution as everyone gets charged whether they win or not, so it's likely to anger people or not garner the same support that an actual auction would.

Amanda Gorman: This is a great article however, in our experience, this is not a true silent auction, if you still have to pay out for every bid. Our donors would not be happy paying out thousands of dollars for an item they never win. It's false advertising to say its a true auction.
