There are currently options to display your custom field on the receipt and on the admin.

I would like a third option, to display it on the donation summary section, amongst payment amount, giving frequency, etc.

This is important when you want people to be able to review their entry BEFORE they confirm the donation. The obvious example would be something like "T-Shirt size".
