In version 3+ forms, the gateway placholder text is always displayed in the Donation Confirmation step, as opposed to the custom text entered at Donations >> Settings >> Payment Gateways >> Visual Form Builder

The workaround is to use the Loco Translate plugin to replace the exact Placeholder text.

There's one caveat: if the placeholder string is "Credit Card" (like for PayPal Donations) and that string is "translated", every occurrence of Credit Card in the GiveWP core plugin will be translated.
