hello, impossible for us to translate the dashboard neither with loco nor with code snippets. It's really very annoying and not professional at all for us. Our donors do not speak English.thank you

I and my organization would be very happy if GiveWP would be fully translatable soon. Currently we have a mixture of English and German in the GiveWP plugin. This is confusing and doesn't look very professional. Since we want to start a serious fundraising soon, we are now considering if we should continue to use GiveWP. In terms of functionality and design, it would actually meet our expectations exactly, but the problems with language adaptation are unfortunately not insignificant. A paid version of Give would - due to our low budget - only be an option for us if the translation problems can be solved in the near future. Therefore we ask for a clear forecast.
By installing Loco and the workaround described by kjohnson with the index.js file (https://gist.github.com/kjohnson/6f3016737efc6e03f4071575e7d839f8), a few more strings could be translated from English to German, but unfortunately by far not all. For example, I would like to point to the settings for anonymous donations in the Donor Dashboard (Tab: Editional Settings): while the first option "Public - show my donations publicly" could be translated via the workaround, this did not work for the second option "Private - only organization admins can view my info" (see screenshot).
In the translation program of WordPress, among other things, the first option for anonymous donations is already translated (https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/give/dev/de/default/?filters%5Bstatus%5D=either&filters%5Boriginal_id%5D=11520135&filters%5Btranslation_id%5D=84392359). However, it has been waiting for more than half a year for adoption. So I don't see any further possibility to act. Also for many other strings there are already translations waiting for adoption. In general, I don't know what else I can do to enable clearly understandable donation processes with GiveWP via our website.
What is the reason that GiveWP only translates very inconsistently and not completely until today? Did rik name the actual causes in his detailed post in the Add support for multilingual sites topic (https://feedback.givewp.com/feature-requests/p/add-support-for-multilingual-sites)? The most important question is: Can GiveWP or Liquid Web solve the problems in the short term? If financial reasons hinder this, one solution could be a fundraising. 😉

When translating GiveWP and the add-ons compatible with the Donor Dashboard, some strings are not translatable.
As an example, the string "Your Giving Stats" is translatable using custom code. However, the word "Dashboard" is not translatable.
Right now, this custom code allows you to translate some strings, like "Your Giving Stats": https://gist.github.com/kjohnson/6f3016737efc6e03f4071575e7d839f8. You should download it, customize the strings you need to translate in the index.js file, ZIP it, and then upload it as a plugin to your website.
Plugins like Loco Translate are not currently working to translate the Donor Dashboard.
A workaround, for some strings, is to add the PHP code using the Code Snippets plugin and upload the index.js file from the gist above to your server. Please see this screencast on how to do that: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cr1iYHVh552

to add to Geneviève K., some tabs are indeed not translated atm, and some entries like "log out", but also some Database terms (like Active, Complete, and the headings of columns)
