Seeking a means to "reset" donation goals per-form

Our site uses GiveWP to process donations for campaigns which have a monthly (recurring) goal. Therefore, one of our Administrators is seeking a means to "reset the donation goal" on a form each month, or in technical terms, a mechanism to chronologically specify which donations are counted by the goal tracker on a given form (no pun intended.)
It would be extremely undesirable to delete and/or export all historical data each month, and creating a new form each month would be not only tedious but also counterproductive to our reporting and analytical efforts.
Does GiveWP provide a means of implementing this level of discernment?
If not, please interpret this post as a Feature Request and accept our sincere thanks.

I too would find this incredibly useful. At the moment I've set it to show as a percentage, and each financial year I adjust it in the backend so the percentage is correct, But behind scenes the dollars number is wildly out. A big problem with one suggested fix is that if I create a new donation form each financial year, I lose all the recurring donation peoples!

We're planning to start development on some updates to form goals in April and will be looking into this then. We'll update this post with the outcome of our work.

This enhancement could provide a lot of great goals. It could be used to set monthly goals. But it also could have a second goal that could be shown at the same time as a yearly goal. And if those goals could be reset (monthly or yearly) then would not lose the all time statistics of the form

Yes, please! As a use case example, I want to have monthly fundraisers with a goal. The problem is people who set donations to be recurring have those donations always made to that original form. I have to manually edit each to assign it to the new fundraiser.
Adding the feature to enable the subscription to be assigned to a different form would not solve this problem since each new month I'd still have to go back and manually update each prior subscription to apply it to the new form.
The solution I see is to simply be able to reset goals. That way I can just continue to use the same form and still have it show goal progress.

We would like to request similar feature for recurring payments/donations which can have an option to have:
- a scheduled start and end date and frequency (daily, weekly, monthly)
- number of recurrences and frequency (daily, weekly, monthly)
- set scheduled time or time range for transaction processing
This can be used for fundraising campaigns such as:
- Last 10 nights of Ramadan. These are special nights in Islam and many Muslims would like to donate every night. Ideally we launch the campaign early and ask users to register. When the start date of the campaign arrives, the first payment is processed. Subsequent daily payments processed until and including end date.
- First 10 days of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah. Similar concept to last 10 nights of Ramadan.
- Weekly donation on Friday. Fridays are considered to be the best day of the week for Muslims. Many people want to donate on Fridays. We would like to automate it for them.
- Winter [CAUSE] drive, where CAUSE can be food, clothing etc. Donors may want to contribute monthly during the winter months.
- Other religions or organizations may also have special occasions that can benefit from this feature.

Is there any update on this at all?
As this would be cruicial to giving transparency to our donations intake and likely spur more donors to give, seeing we're struggling.
Having a meter that's set to show each month, without having to create seperate forms each time is desperately needed.
Also, a sidebar widget for this too would be the icing on the cake.

Richard Small: I agree. This would be great to have (soon). We are losing donors as a result of the donor forgetting to come back to start a recurring payment on the date they prefer.
