Admins may want to create a bunch of Teams up front, or at some point decide to close new Teams. At this point, users may still join existing Teams, but may not create new Teams.

This (along with lots of other goodness!) has been fixed in version 1.4.0 of the Peer-to-Peer add-on. Update to that and you should be all set!

to share my use case for this feature so folks are aware. We do fundraisers for marching bands, we want students to join team(s) but not create teams. Why? First, kids are kids and removing anything for them to be creative with is a good thing. Second, in many cases we do not want donors creating teams for certain groups.
