Change Password Link in Donor Dashboard for Registered Users
planned
Zack Jenkins
As and admin, I'd like to have a reset password link displayed in the donor dashboard, so that registered users can access that efficiently while in their dashboard.

Also: The default login screen that non-logged in users get when they press "Donor Dashboard", which offers users 2 options (1. Login for a session by getting a link on email, 2. logging in with user name and password) should also have a 3rd option: "Register an account for easier future login with a password" + a 4th option (besides the login section): "Reset password"

yes I agree, this is important. Also: for non-logged in users, when they access their Donor Dashboard using a link provided via email (in a 'session'), it would be good if the Edit Profile tab had a line with "Generate a password for easier future login", so that users can easily generate a password from their Donor Dashboard for future use. This option might be in the same area as where the password + password reset link are shown for users that ARE logged in.

rik: I completely underline rik's suggestions. With these features the donor self-management would be user-friendly. Currently, this is not the case (creating password at WordPress & logging in at donor dashboard). At least, I didn't find a better way, yet.

Amanda Gorman: Hello. I totally agree with Brandon W. > If the reset password option is one day added in the dashboard, it needs to be built into GiveWP and NOT leads to the default "reset password Wordpress page" that is not welcoming for donators. For the same reason, I'm not sure it's a good idea to add this reset password link in default DB login screen.

Yes, I agree. If you are going to make this the default login for the donors then these features are necessary

Great idea, and the reset password option needs to be built into GiveWP. Today, when a user resets their password, they are taken to the default Wordpress page, logo and all. This is confusing for the user and really takes away from the experience.
I am not quite sure why this is not already built into GiveWP. An oversight?

Brandon W.: I was also looking for this, actually I added a plugin that allow them to reset password on the front end but I don't know if it will work with give wp, I have to test that out...
